Backward Counting

How to make learning super fun? I think we should ask our IVPS Facilitators about it. The Kindergarten students had to learn about the concept of “Backward Counting”.  The teachers took all students out on the stairs and with number cards they were introduced about the concept while getting up & down on the stairs. All students were able to do the concept well as “Learning by Doing” is the best kind of learning.

Hindi Diwas Celebration

Hindi Diwas is celebrated across the country on 14th of September every year to pay our respect to the mother tongue of India. India being such a diverse country not everybody can learn all the regional languages, so Hindi bridges the gap and acts as a standard means of communication.

14th September is celebrated as Hindi Diwas, as Hindi written on Devnagari script was approved as the official language on this day by the constituent assembly. With modernization, Hindi is losing its importance. Samuel Johnson very aptly said “I am always sorry when any language is lost, because languages are the pedigrees of Nations”. To retain the significance of Hindi, IVPS observed Hindi Diwas from 1st Sept., to 14th Sept., 2016. Through various recreational activities, an attempt was made to revive its lost importance and encourage students to take interest in it. The highlighted activities conducted in these two weeks are storytelling, recitation of self composed poems, recitation of Doha’s of poets Tulsi Das and Rahim.

On 14th September, a special assembly was held where the kids touched our hearts with the various colourful programmes in Hindi. The Principal of the school Mrs. Shikha Sharma motivated the students and made them realize the importance of Hindi language in our day to day life.

The relationship that we share with her is beyond any words. She is the source of unconditional love that nurtures us throughout our life. Hence, it is very important that we respect our mother and listen to her what she has to say.
