This is a simple narration to make the children understand the challenges of the world they are going to face.

On 11th December, 2019 the students of IVPS provided some useful materials to an underprivileged school from the amount collected from Art-o -Valley which was held in school. The important lessons like compassion, empathy and joy of giving made it a memorable day. The sense of wonder and awe in their eyes was a joy to see!

To render this opportunity to the teachers, Niti Aayog organized a 4 days Teacher Training Program from 3rd December to 6th December, 2019 at Sunbeam School, Varanasi in collaboration with IBM. Ms. Sakshi Malik (PGT Physics) attended this session.
The 4 days training was full of enthusiasm and learning. All the participants were actively involved.
Beginning with design thinking, computational thinking and programming, it was well planned. ATL equipments including Arduino Uno, Sensors and 3-D printing were discussed. Some fun activities were also a part of the session. At the last day some students of the same school also joined the session. It was a well implemented program.

CBSE organized a one day Capacity Building Program for the Physical Education teachers at Father Agnel School, Noida on 30th November, 2019. It was attended by Mr. Hemant Sharma (PGT Physical Education).

The workshop highlighted about sports which is extremely important component for the overall development of our nation and about the tremendous potential which needs to be showcased at a global platform. The constructive way to inspire young talent and train them at school level was discussed . Overall it was an interactive session.

Learning is a continuous process which cannot be bound by age. Teachers also need to learn new things to make improvements in their teaching methodology which further helps in building a strong base of new and upcoming generation.

A workshop by 'Oxford University Press India' was conducted on 'Building activity-based learning tracks for early learners'. Teachers not only learned about the new ideas and changing trend in education at pre-primary level but also came to know how to execute those ideas with little ones.
The workshop proved immensely fruitful for our teachers.

CBSE organised a two days capacity building programme on Mathematics -Class X at DAVPS, NTPC, Dadri on 14^th and 15^th November 2019 which was attended by Mr. Neha Sharma.

Dr. Rahul Chawla was the resource person for the programme.

 The resource person focused on the objectives of teaching Mathematics at secondary stage and emphasized on understanding Bloom's taxonomy of educational objectives and instructional objectives.

Framing of questions, lesson plans and methods of teaching were discussed along with common errors and their remedies. It was an informative workshop which made all the participants actively involved in all the activities.

It was our pleasure to organize the Capacity Building Programme on Physics- class XII on 21^st and 22^nd of October, 2019 at Indus Valley Public School. 47 enthusiastic physics teachers from 39 schools from Delhi/NCR made full use of this opportunity provided by CBSE.

Framing of questions, marking scheme and classroom lessons were discussed in the two days' workshop by the resource person, Dr. Vikas Agarwal. Apart from the subject, Dr. Agarwal emphasized on the importance of prayers and moral lessons.

We look forward to organizing more such workshops for the teachers.

Another feather has been added in the cap of I.V.P.S achievements and sports accolades. Prashant Yadav bagged bronze medal in 200 metre under 19 boys C.B.S.E cluster and made the school proud. Ms. Namita Singh of our school attended the workshop held on 23rd and 24th September 2019.
The two days' workshop aimed at revitalizing the teaching of Social Science to make the 'Learning Without Burden'. The resource person from CBSE, Mr. Dhiraj Singh discussed the various strategies of teaching Social Science to promote creativity, aesthetics and critical perspective among the learners.
The workshop encompassed all the disciplines of Social Science with the active involvement of all the participant teachers and the facilitator.

TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMME 2019-20

Ms. Dibya J. Gupta from our school participated in IBM-CBSE AI K-12 CURRICULUM TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMME held from 19^th to 21^st September 2019 at Bal Bharati Public School, Noida.

Mr. Bishwa Ranjan Behara and Mr. Akash Choudhary were the resource people. They focused on creating awareness about AI and its real life application and act as foundational program for future courses on advanced topics of AI.

It was fruitful training programme as the teachers gained knowledge and experience on AI based tools in order to mentor their students on AI based projects.

It was fun filled program in which the facilitators, Ms. Ishika Mukherjee and Ms. Praveen explained that it is about mathematising the world around us, which can be easily done by games, puzzles, competitions and other wide range of activities.

Ms. Bhasha  Joshi from our school participated in a Capacity Building Programme conducted by CBSE on Business Studies for class XII. The workshop was held on 3rd and 4th September 2019 at DPS, Greater Noida.

The key focus of resource person, Ms.Saudamini Arvind, was on the changes taking place in the syllabus, question paper pattern, framing of questions and preparation of project.

Also, various strategies were discussed to equip the teachers with the ability to deal with some difficult topics effectively.

It was an elucidative and interactive workshop which made all the participants actively involved in all the activities.

Believing in it, our talented IVPS student, Varun Sharma of class VII truly set the bar of excellence and created a world record in the longest performance of Pashimotanasana for 1hr.30 minutes in the Kids Yoga category. With this achievement, he has registered his name in the Yoga World Book of Yoga World Records. He has proved that Yoga is a light, which once lit, never dims.

An Awakening Citizen Program was held at Ramakrishna Mission New Delhi on 6^th & 7^th May, 2019, for Year-1training and on 8^th & 9^th May, 2019 for Year-2 training  teachers of Delhi NCR.

Ms. Neha Bansal, Ms. Bandana Roy, Ms. Seema Yadav and Ms. Mani Sharma of our school participated in this workshop.

The ACP is a three year graded value education program for students. In order to empower students in a real and tangible way, enable them to stand on their own feet and help them develop as enlightened citizens. IVPS had sent teachers to attend the programme so that they can conduct classes in the school and help in awakening the students.

A Capacity Building Programme on Political Science was held at CBSE, Center of Excellence, Delhi on 29th & 30th April, 2019, for the Senior Secondary teachers of Delhi NCR.

Ms. Namita Singh of our school participated in this workshop headed by the Resource Person Mr. Madan Sawhney and Mrs. Vijay Laxmi Singh.

The main highlights of the CBSE organized workshop was the introduction of the new question pattern followed by a discussion on the objectives and expected work to be delivered through Political Science Project.

CBSE organized a two days capacity building program on Psychology for the teachers at CBSE, Regional Office on 24^th & 25^th April 2019. It was attended by Ms. K. Rakshitha Ganesh (PGT Psychology cum Counsellor).

Workshop was conducted by the resource  persons Ms. Usha Anand and Ms. Gurjeet Kaur. The workshop highlighted about the constructive way of teaching psychology at school level, discussion about new pattern of question paper and assessment method Overall it was an interactive session.

CBSE organized a two days capacity building program on English for the teachers of class X at Sapphire International School, Noida on 12th and 13th April 2019. It was attended by Ms. Poonam Chaudhary (TGT English).

Workshop was conducted by the resource Ms. Ruchi Sengar. She discussed about the student's learning techniques, methodologies to teach various skills like: reading, writing and grammar, different activities were suggested to infuse the passion for sileat  reading, framing of questions for periodic tests, assessment of student learning, marking scheme and blueprint of board question paper.

Overall it was an interactive session.

Aarnav Lakhani, a student of Class 1 was awarded the 3^rd Prize at the District Roller Sports Championship. At IVPS, we encourage our students to go beyond the classroom and participate in offbeat activities such as these!

Capacity Building Programme - Life Skills

‘Life skills prepare us to face the outer world.’ With this motive, Ms. Himani Barthwal Dabral and Ms. Amrita Ramanathan attended a workshop of ‘Capacity Building Programme on Life Skills’ at Lotus Valley International School on 15^th February, 2019. The resource person, Ms. Abha Jha beautifully defined the term life skills as the abilities which will help learners to be successful in living a productive life. These skills help students improve their personal and social qualities. It was an interactive programme which helped teachers to learn how life skills can be integrated with all the subjects and they should become positive role models for their students.

Ms. Neha Sharma and Ms. Nishtha Kathuria attended a workshop at Fr. Agnel School, Noida on 8^th and 9^th February, 2019. It was conducted by Dr. Pooja Jaitley in collaboration with CBSE to inculcate the concept of inclusive education in CBSE schools. The main emphasis was laid on the lesson plans which cater to the psycological and physical needs of all the children. It also clarified the terminologies related to the needs of the special children.

Capacity Building Workshop

For teachers, as for students, the most effective evaluation comes from someone who sits besides us and helps us grow.

And this work is done by CBSE for the teachers who regularly organize such workshops for them. One such workshop was the Capacity Building Programme on Remodelled Assessment held on 7th February, 2019 at DPS, Greater Noida. The objective of the assessment structure was to identify the gap in the teaching-learning process and understanding of students. The teachers were enriched by the resource person, Ms Gurpreet Singh, who explained the core elements of Internal Assessments and how best to make the optimum utilisation of this model. The emphasis was given on the points to keep in mind while assessing the students. Few activities were also conducted by them to make it more interactive.

It was a very proud moment for the IVPS family when the school Principal, Ms Shikha Sharma was awarded the Avantika - “Atal Samman 2018-19”.

The seminar was conducted by Physical Education Federation of India at Dr. Ambedkar International Center, Janpath Road, New Delhi on Anti-Doping, January 30-31 2019 in presence of Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathor, Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports, Mrs. Mary Kom, Member of Parliament & Olympic Medalist and B.J.P Leader Sh. Manoj Tiwari, Patron of PEFI.

The performance of our students were applauded, school and our Yoga Guru Mr. Sarvesh Upadhyaya got the certificate of appreciation.

IVPS Steals the Show

Siddhi Pillay & Abhay Kumar of our school have qualified for the National Level Science Exhibition by exhibiting “The Adiabatic Cooler" under the guidance of the Science faculty.

The two days Regional Level CBSE Science Exhibition was held at DPS international, Ghaziabad on 29th and 30th January, 2019. Out of 196 exhibits represented by 98 schools, only 18 exhibits were selected for the National level.

English Olympiad Achiever

The joys of students have no bound when they explore their talents lay participating in school events. As Indus Valley Public School strongly believes in turning up each stone in bringing out the hidden talents in each student and making them realize that the shining future awaits for them, an English Olympiad was held on 23rd October, 18 in our school premises were the students showcased their budding talents. Kudos to our shining star, Master Aarjav Prabhakar of class 3rd B who showcased his extraordinary talent and skill and bagged the 1st position in the Olympiad. He scored 31/40 at school level, 249 as International Rank and 139 as Zonal Rank. He had won a Gold Medal and proved that any transition is easier if you believe in yourself. Congratulations Aarjav

Our school students participated in Yoga Championship in 3rd State Yoga Championship 2018, organised by Yog Sport Association Uttar Pradesh & Physical Education Foundation of India (Uttar Pradesh Chapter) held at Petals World School, Kaushambi Ghaziabad, on 20th November 2018. Our Students brought laurels by wining 2 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze Medal & 1st position in Group Yoga.

The Royal Challenges Cup All India Karate Championship

Our school students participated in Karate Championship in “The Royal Challenges”  Cup All India Shoto – Kai Karate Championship-2018, organized by Shoto Kai Karate-Do India on 17th & 18th November 20018, at Shaheed Vijay Pathik Sports Complex Greater Noida Gautam Budh Nagar(U.P.), The Children Brought laurels by wining 3Gold, 2 Silver, 2 Bronze Medals. 

Manvi Makes Her Way Into Uttar Pradesh U-19 Girls Cricket Team

Indus Valley Public School is delighted to announce that our student of class 12, Manvi Sharma, has been selected in the Under 19 Girls Cricket Team. The news did not come as a surprise since everyone in the school knew how consistent she had been with her cricket practice. The ecstatic coach, Mr. Phool Chand said that it was the result of her hard work which paid off. Manvi has been selected for her brilliant bowling. How selection in the Delhi and U.P Team has proved that nothing is impossible to a determined mind.
The school Principal, Mrs. Shikha Sharma congratulated her and expressed happiness at her selection. She said that it's the result of her passion and consistent efforts that brought her this achievement. She is sure that Manvi will play for India one day and make us all proud.

Our school students participated in Karate Championship in 2nd District G.B. Nagar Kai Kan Karate Championship-2018 organized by Kai Kan Karate federation of India, on 28th October 2018, at Community Center, Sector -20, Noida. The Children Brought laurels by wining, 05Gold, 06 Silver & 11 Bronze Medals and school got 1st position.

IVPians Steal the Show Shilpotsav

One of the wonderful ways to introduce young children to the world’s rich diversity is folk dance. It provides opportunity for socialization and room for self expression. One such event was organized by UP Tourism in association with Noida Authority, “Incredible India- Shilpotsav Noida-2018”, at Noida Stadium which was inaugurated by Union Minister, Mr. Mahesh Sharma and Ms. Ritu Bahuguna, Minister for tourism, Uttar Pradesh. The folk dance competition had students from more than 50 schools of Gautam Buddh Nagar District
The school feels great pride and joy to share that our students gave a tough competition to other participating schools and notched the winner’s trophy. Our vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic Ganpati Dance. The spectators bore witness to the enthusiasm and energy of our young IVPians as they enthralled every one present there.
The trophy was presented by Mrs. Anju Chaudhary (R.T.O, U.P. Tourism, New Delhi/secretary Craft Mela Mahotsav Samiti, Noida). She congratulated them and complimented the efforts and energy put in by them.

In its journey of 14 years, IVPS has won several awards and recognitions. And now, one more much deserved award came as the school has emerged as the winner of the “Outstanding Infrastructure of the Year-2018” in the National School Awards-2018, India’s biggest school awards.

CBSE Result Class XII 2016-17

IVPians Rocked Again

Superb and stupendous, that’s how the result of class XII students, 2015-16 batch can be summed up. The happiness of the students knew no bounds when they saw their board result for which they had put in their heart and soul. The 100% result of the students speaks volumes about the dedication and hard work of teachers.

The first position was notched by Gaurav Kumar Singh who scored 95%, while Gunjan Singh and Tamanna Nariya scored 94% and 93.8% respectively.

Euphoric Moment For IVPS

It was a proud moment for everyone in the school when the Principal, Mrs. Shikha Sharma, was awarded “The Best District Principal Award,” which constitutes a trophy and a certificate.
She was presented this award in acknowledgement of her vision, leadership qualities and academic initiatives on account of which the students of Indus Valley Public School exhibited outstanding performance at District level in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand State in SOF Cyber, Science, Mathematics and English Olympiad exams during the year 2014-15.
Mrs. Shikha Sharma joined the school in 2009 and in a short span of 6 years; the school has received six awards in all, which is quite an achievement in itself.

IVPS bags another award

Moving ahead in achieving awards, IVPS once again bagged one more after having been selected amongst the top 100 schools of Uttar Pradesh and also among the top 10 schools of the district.
The entire process of ranking and selecting the schools was conducted by shikshaadvisor.com in an honest and transparent manner, by a jury selected by them comprising eminent educationists. After selection, the top 500 schools were put to vote for an online survey and 100 top schools were selected, Indus Valley Public School being one of them.
The school was honoured on 15th February at a grand award ceremony attended by stalwarts from all walks of life. The Award was presented by Mr. Ashutosh (National spokesperson-AAP and former Managing Editor, IBN7).

The New Year ushered in the good news for the IVPians as the school was presented another award for being the best Public School in Primary and Secondary Education in Delhi, NCR region. This is the third award that the school has received in the field of education.
